About trading

The Trading Exchange enables you to speculate on the number of albums and singles an Artist will sell over a 2 year period, by trading Contracts.

You can secure Contracts by investing in any of the Artists in a Showcase. Every £1 Investment in an Artist gives you the right to own 1 Contract.

If you don’t invest in an Artist in a Showcase, you are still able to buy Contracts when they start trading. Prices vary but are likely to be over £1 each.

Contract prices fluctuate in line with each Artist’s prospects but can be bought and sold on the Trading Exchange at any time.

2 years after the album is released, each Contract is cashed in for an amount equal to £1 for every 10,000 album sales plus 10p for every 10,000 single sales.

If the Artist signs a record deal, the Contracts are cashed in at a 50% premium to the market price when the deal is done.
